We are looking for a data engineer who can build data pipelines, industrialize machine learning and operations research models and replace legacy data warehousing systems with state-of-the-art data lake solutions. As a Data Engineer, you will apply your skills to change the way the company works, driving innovation and transforming us into a truly data-driven organization. We value both technical expertise (analysis, design & architecture, engineering, quality assurance and devops) as well as the interpersonal parts of the job (coaching, consulting, coordination, and support).

What you'll need to succeed

• Preferably a Bachelor degree or higher in Computer Science, Software Engineering or other relevant fields (less important in light
  of work experience)

• 3+ years in production software engineering with a server side programming language (Scala preferred, Java, Python, Kotlin...) functional programming affinity is nice to have

• Event driven architectures (Kafka is nice to have)

• SQL and NoSQL databases (HBase is nice to have)

• At least one cloud computing platform (GCP preferably, Azure, AWS)

• CI/CD workflows and versioning systems (Git)

• Automated testing (unit, integration, regression, NFT)

• Knowledge of continuous integration/continuous deployment
  techniques

• Experience with automated testing

• Fluent in English

• Team player and familiar with Agile way of working

• Being able to work independently

It is considered a plus (not a requirement) if you have:

• Knowledge of and hands on experience with the Hadoop
  ecosystem

• Experience in building production applications with Apache
  Spark

• Affinity with Machine Learning and/or Operations Research
  concepts
