We are looking for a data engineer who can build data pipelines, industrialize machine learning and operations research models and replace legacy data warehousing systems with state-of-the-art data lake solutions. As a Data Engineer, you will apply your skills to change the way the company works, driving innovation and transforming us into a truly data-driven organization. We value both technical expertise (analysis, design & architecture, engineering, quality assurance and devops) as well as the interpersonal parts of the job (coaching, consulting, coordination, and support).
What you'll need to succeed
Preferably a Bachelor degree or higher in Computer Science, Software Engineering or other relevant fields (less important in light
of work experience)
3+ years in production software engineering with a server side programming language (Scala preferred, Java, Python, Kotlin...) functional programming affinity is nice to have
Event driven architectures (Kafka is nice to have)
SQL and NoSQL databases (HBase is nice to have)
At least one cloud computing platform (GCP preferably, Azure, AWS)
CI/CD workflows and versioning systems (Git)
Automated testing (unit, integration, regression, NFT)
Knowledge of continuous integration/continuous deployment
techniques
Experience with automated testing
Fluent in English
Team player and familiar with Agile way of working
Being able to work independently
It is considered a plus (not a requirement) if you have:
Knowledge of and hands on experience with the Hadoop
ecosystem
Experience in building production applications with Apache
Spark
Affinity with Machine Learning and/or Operations Research
